homeLocalSend
LocalSend is a FOSS file transfer program akin to Apple's AirDrop feature, but for all devices. With Android, iOS, Windows, Mac and Linux compatibility it allows for seamless, secure file transfers over LAN between basically any device, using HTTPS encryption. Its only real shortcoming is that it requires devices to already be on the same network, rather than being able to discover nearby devices through Bluetooth like AirDrop can. As long as your devices are all on the same local network, it provides an extremely convenient alternative to SSH or proprietary methods, many of which aren't cross platform. If I need to transfer files between my PC and my phone, or between my two computers, I just use this now. It's a very straightforward program and extremely simple to use with no setup required. You don't have to spend ages configuring it, it just werks as soon as you install it. I've also never had an issue with files not sending or corrupting or transfers outright failing, and if you do I would check your network first rather than the program itself. From my experience it works flawlessly for all files big and small. I backed up my entire phone to my pc using this app and it was a very quick and painless process. I love LocalSend and I've never once felt the need to look for an alternative. I tried the file sending feature on KDE Connect prior to finding out about LocalSend and I found it pretty meh. LocalSend is just so consistent I love it
